Grinding, Dispersion technology

Dispersing, emulsifying and homogenizing are among the most demanding processes in mechanical process engineering. They require dissolution (dispersing) as well as uniform distribution (homogenizing) or incorporation of one substance into the structure of another (emulsifying). In doing so, they intervene in the finest structures of the starting products in order to present a desired end product not only in a short but also in long-term stable result.

Inline dispersion, emulsification and homogenization are carried out using high shear forces in the mixing process. This can be done in one or more stages, depending on the requirements of the raw materials or the end product.

For example:
To produce stable emulsions, very high shear forces are usually required. The raw materials are broken down into the smallest droplets, right down to the microstructure, in order to achieve long-term, stable bonding. For this purpose, Gronfa uses the similar technology for inline powder dissolver, colloid mill and wet grinding mill, depending on the raw materials.

For Gronfa Procestechniek it is therefore mandatory not only to deliver the machine itself, but also to accompany the processes around this technology with the expert knowledge and to support it in an advisory capacity.
